About

Nimbus Play started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots and arguing about which games were worth the storage. At some point the messages got long enough that a website made more sense. Now it's a small editorial team that plays, writes, and occasionally disagrees loudly.

We care about the stuff reviews usually skip. Does the control scheme fight your thumbs? How hot does the phone get after twenty minutes? Can you play one-handed on a bus? Those details decide whether a game stays installed, so we treat them as the main event, not the footnote.

Games end up here for a simple reason: someone on the team actually played one and had something to say. We don't chase release calendars or hype cycles. A three-year-old title gets the same attention as a fresh launch if it's doing something interesting.

No studio pays to appear here. When we like something we say so, and when a game wastes your battery for nothing, we say that too.
